I am a normal office worker who loves travel, food and photography. I was born in Napier, New Zealand, spent my university years in Wellington before heading off on my OE to the United Kingdom, where I spent 5 years there developing and refining my palate.

I am now residing back in Wellington, New Zealand with my Plus 1 (now known as Mr Wasabi) and our new addition Sweet Pea.  From my various journeys around the world, I have taken a fair number of photos of my food, but have never manage to make an effort to review/collate them.  After countless remarks from family, friends and colleagues to start a blog of my travels and food, I thought I would bite the dust and ‘just do it’, so here I am.

Thanks for dropping by, and enjoy my reviews of various restaurants around the world! Please support me by commenting, ‘liking’ my Facebook page and help share this site with friends and others alike, would be very much appreciated and most of all keep returning to read my latest reviews.

Any suggestions for improvement or suggested reviews, please let me know, as I would love to share my experiences with you.

xoxo Misopeckish

I have to agree with the above comment, very good blog with great tips for food and nice photos. Straight to the point without the unnecessary self advertising.
Next time in Hong Kong try Yat Lok – their roast goose is far superior to the one in Yung Kee.
Also the Australia Dairy company is worth a visit.

Oh wow, my friend Chris suggested I read some of your blog as he mentioned to me that your reviews have an abundance of trustworthy knowledge of all sorts of foods from all over the world. There have been quite a few places that I have tried too and I must agree with you about your opinions. Some great, some not so good. I love how you always talk about Mr Wasabi as it is always good to get another opinion with your dining experiences. I would like to hear more about his choice in tastes too. I will definitely be reading more of your blogs and will introduce more people to read in the future.

Thank you so much for your kind words and glad you enjoy reading some of my reviews. I will endeavour to add more of what ‘Mr Wasabi’ thinks. He is very picky and if its really good or really bad, he will definitely voice his opinion.

May I ask which city are you based in?

Do you prefer to eat on your own or with Mr Wasabi?

Wow! Where have you not been and where do you think will be your next trip to? I would love to know your ideas too and it might sway my thoughts on where I should go to eat great foods.

I just wish I had started my blog a few years earlier when I was based in London, then I could have added Europe, Africa and South America. If you are after some recommendations, just email me via the Contacts page. Glad to hear you are enjoying my blog. Spread the word – the more people visiting make this hobby even more worth while.
