Crazy Good

www.misopeckish.comIt seems like Napier is heating up with stores that primarily serve coffee along with a small selection of counter food, which in a way reminds me of Wellington.

I am always after a good cup of coffee and you definitely can not go wrong with Crazy good who uses a local roasted coffee.

There are a few tables and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your coffee but I opted to  get mine to take away as I was trying to get Sweet Pea to take a nap before our lunch, where were had made a reservation at The Mission Estate.

Flat White –  was good.   Just a side note, I had asked for a trim flat white, but they only use blue top milk, so had to opt for the norm.  Good cup of coffee, the milk certainly was not burnt.

Custard Filled Doughnut – when I first looked at the doughnut was thinking how much filling is there going to be? and this doughnut did not disappoint with its custard filling.    With a thin crunchy coating, soft airy centre with a delicious, thick, yet not too sweet custard oozing into my mouth was heaven, and at $4.50 for the doughnut I thought it was quite a bargain compared to the price you pay for doughnuts in Wellington.

A good little cafe that does decent coffee.  Will definitely return  again when I am in the area.

Dear reader where is your favourite spot for a cup of coffee in Napier?
