Burger Liquor

www.misopeckish.comIt certainly has been a while since I was last here.   I could possibly say that I was here last when it was first opened around 2.5years ago.   And at the time I did not rate their burgers.

Though having recently been to Five Boroughs on the other side of town and comparing burgers, I must admit Burger Liquor burgers were right up there, now that Nanny’s Food Truck burgers are no more.

Double Standard – Two beef patties with layers of cheese – the classic cheese burger without all the unnecessary greens.    I had requested my burger patty to be cooked medium rare where it was still pink in the middle and that was certainly what I got – burger patties cooked to my liking, served in a soft brioche bun.   Succulent, juicy and flavoursome burger patties.   I was so hungry at the time that I thought this burger is not going to fill me up.  I was wrong.

Firecracker Fries – Smoked Paprika seasoned chips topped with Mozzarella with firecracker sauce.  – I personally thought the chips were drowning themselves in the sauce.  If you are not a person who is into ‘spice’ I would not recoomend these chips for you, as they were quite spicy.

Their ‘cheese’ style burgers are delicous, though I have yet to try the other burgers.   Dear reader, what are your favourite burgers here?  where is your favourite burger joint in Wellington?
