Vista Cafe

www.misopeckish.comSince my mum was in town and we just had a swimming lesson with Miss J, I decided to take my mum somewhere closely for lunch and decided to head to Vista Cafe as it was convenient located right next door to the Copthorne Hotel.

We arrived around lunch time where they were serving an all day brunch menu as well as lunch.   I just wanted something simple i.e. a scone and mum choose something off the menu.

There are a few number of tables which seem to attract the older  crowd, which meant the cafe is not as noisey as some other cafes in Wellington.

Cheese Scone – was served warmed.  I was very impressed with the scone, it looked as if it lacked cheese but it certainly was not. It was relatively light and fluffy with a good amount of cheese in it.   Certainly the way that I enjoy my scones.  At $5 it certainly is fairly expensive.

Whitebait Fritter w Calavero Nero, Potatoes, Hollandaise Sauce and Lemon –  was delicious, light and fresh.  My mum throughly enjoyed her meal.

Great little cafe to pop into with ample of street parking also.

Location:  106 Oriental Terrace, Oriental Bay, Wellington
