Our hotel was located right next to Joel Rubuchon’s Le Salon. As my first visit I was wanting to go back to try other items and what beter chance to try since it was conveniently located next door to our hotel in the Elements shopping centre.
Le Salon offers an extensive selection of both sweet and savoury patisserie which are to die for. If only I had more time to try more items.
The decor of Le Salon is the same as per the Le Salon in Central, Hong Kong.
Pocket Sandwich – Beef, Goose Liver and Bell Pepper. I was not sure what to expect from this, but the listing of the goose liver won my attention. It was similar to a closed toasted sandwich without the crust. the exterior looked as if a very thin crispy crepe had been wrapped around the sandwich. The pocket sandwich was toasted to a nice light golden colour.
The bell peppers provide a nice sweet freshing taste to the rich goose liver. the beef was grounded and mixed with some herbs.
Service was excellent, the staff did not mind two people sharing the one sandwich without charging extra or forcing the second person to purchase something. The sandwich was well seasoned and toasted perfectly.
