Cong Sao Star Dessert

www.misopeckish.comI am just a sucker for Asian dessert, partly due to the fact that you can not get it back home in wellington and the closest thing you can get is tofu pudding.

My friend recommended this place to me as I was after some decent Asian dessert.   My friend was put off with the queue and the fact that D had to work the following day, so did not want to wait in the queue with us.   So we said our good byes and proceeded to wait.  the wait was not as long as I thought it would be, perhaps 15 minutes which was tolerable.

Cong Sao Star Dessert offers a good selection of Asian desserts from your cold to hot style desserts where there is something for everyone.

Durian with Crystal Seeds – as you would expect the Durian had a pungent small to it, but other patrons did not mind this, as this is what they had come here for.  I found the ice cream to be fairly icy rather than creamy which I was missing.  You definitely can taste the durian though the ice cream.

Mango Pudding w Fresh Mango – Not as tasty as Mr Wasabi had hoped it to be.  the pudding was fairly bland which needed fresh mangoes within to make it more delicate.

Extra Mango –  I love Asian mangoes, rather than the Australian mangoes that you get back home.. these tend to much more sweeter and softer.
