Trying to kill some time before our flight and there is not a lot to do when it is wet and windy. Even though both Mr Wasabi and I were not hungry we decided to pop into the Rusty Tractor cafe for a coffee to kill some time.
At the front of the cafe lies a small store selling old rustic items.
Outdoor play area for the kids. The cafe is set amongst vast greenery that provides an oasis away from the busy road.. One annoying thing that I found was the gun going off across the road to scare off the bird from eating the permission patch.
Carrot Cake – served with cream and yoghurt – very moist. Not like your usual carrot cake with nuts etc.. but it did have some chunky bits of pineapple which was quite nice. Good layer of cream cheese frosting topped with some tried apricots and pumpkin seeds
English Breakfast Tea – Nice hot relaxing cup of tea, which you could not have asked for more.
The Rusty Tractor serves food throughout the day, though if you come in late in the afternoon you may find very little counterfood available. Good little cafe near the airport, if you want to kill some time elsewhere other than the airport.
