Bellini Bar

www.misopeckish.comIf you are after a quick or quiet drink before dinner or before going out on the town?  Then give Bellini Bar a try.   Located within the Hilton Hotel in Auckland on Princes Wharf with views of the city and Auckland harbour  with indoor and outdoor seating.

Bellini’s bar is located in the centre of the room allowing for plenty of viewing space for the patrons.  The service is good, with attentive and friendly staff.

Unfortunately all the comfortable chairs had been taken so we decided to perch ourselves at one of the communal tables next to the bar.

Bellini bar offers a good selection of wines, beers, cocktails as well as food.  as you can see at the bar a wide selection of whiskey.

We are given a glass of water and some rice crackers to snack on as the study the menu.

We order  a snack to share and a couple glasses of wine.

Surf and Turf with large Garlic Chips –  nicely presented on a wooden board. The beef was cut into thin strips which was a little over done for my liking.   The accompanying beans and carrots still had a bite to them which as good as I hate soggy/soft vegetables.   The prawns were fairly large but nicely cooked.  The highlight of the dish would have to be the chips.  Golden and crispy on the outside and fluffy inside.

This is a fairly quiet bar if you are after somewhere less busy.  Prices of cocktails and drinks are standard prices you would get outside and offers a good selection of food.

Location:  Hilton Hotel, Princes Wharf, 147 Quay Street, Auckland
