After reading reviews online about this place I decided to give this place a try. He She Eat specialises in desserts including souffle, which is one of my favourite dessert items. From the pictures I have seen the souffle looked quite impressive.
The outfit of He She Eat is very creative, modern and clean gearing towards the Gen Y. The menu is in both English and Chinese with lots of pictures that lets your eyes do the ordering.
We ordered the xxx souffle with red bean and green tea ice cream. When we ordered this item we were notified there will be a 30 minute wait.
When it finally arrived, it looked very impressive, the souffle had risen as expected (quite high).
However on this occasion, looks are deceiving. The souffle looked much better than what it tastes. I found that it was overcooked, rubbery, and no moisture what so ever. I was quite disappointed. I think they focused their attention on creating a highly risen souffle and looks, rather than on both taste and looks.
I do not think I will be back in a rush at time soon. There are definitely other places to try in Hong Kong.
